Sim is a devoted Hapkido practitioner and instructor who enjoys sharing his love for the art and its timeless values. He began his Hapkido journey in 2002, training under the guidance of skilled instructors in Singapore who generously shared their knowledge and set him on this path. He has the privilege of training under Grandmaster Kim Beom Chul, the vice president of the Korea Hapkido Federation (KHF) and head of EuljiKwan in Seoul, South Korea. He is humbled by this experience and remains committed to growing as a student of the art, traveling to Seoul several times a year under Grandmaster Kim’s mentorship.
With over 15 years of experience working with children and youths, Sim strives to nurture young learners, emphasizing respect, humility, patience, and perseverance alongside their physical training. These are values he aims to embody as a teacher and as a student of the martial art of self-defense.
Certified as an SgCoach and a Ministry of Education-approved trainer, he leads EuljiKwan Singapore, proudly representing The Korea Hapkido Federation (KHF) in Singapore, fostering student growth, and acknowledging his own areas for improvement.
