Hapkido, a Korean martial art rooted in the art of self-defense, encompasses a diverse array of techniques, including joint locks, grappling, throwing, strikes, and proficiency with various weapons such as short sticks, ropes, canes, and more – all strategically employed to neutralize opponents. Notably, Hapkido holds the distinguished honor of being the official martial art taught to the Korean forces and presidential bodyguards. While it's often mistaken for a blend of Judo, Aikido, and Taekwondo, authentic Hapkido is a complete and distinct martial art in its own right.
Eulji-Kwan is firmly grounded and steadfast in its commitment to preserving the essence of Hapkido. We pass down only what was imparted to us in its entirety, faithfully following in the footsteps of Hapkido masters before us. We serve as the official Singapore representative for The Korea Hapkido Federation, the governing body responsible for upholding and standardizing Hapkido's practice worldwide since 2003.
